Naples Pier Sunset

3 Incredible places to see a mesmerizing Florida sunset

No place in the United States has better sunsets than Florida. The Florida sunset is a magical experience every time. We don’t think you can make a list like “best places to watch a Florida sunset” because every place has its beauty, and some like a specific place more, and some don’t. The next 3 places are where we enjoyed the sunsets the most. Are you more of a sunrise kind of person? Why don’t get a sunrise on the east coast of Florida and a sunset on the west coast, it’s only 2 hours apart.

Naples

Naples might be one of our favorite spots to watch the sunset. Especially the area at the Naples Pier. Whether you’re watching from the pier or the beach, both have their beauty. It’s a well-known spot, so it is busy most of the time. But that doesn’t make the sunset less special.

The photos you can take here are incredible, especially from the beach with the pier in the background. There are a lot of parking spots just around the corner and it’s within walking distance from the city center.

Keaton Beach

In the middle of nowhere and that makes Keaton Beach special. Truly a hidden gem if you ask us. We stayed the night in Perry on our way to Orlando and found out about this beach. It was still a 30-minute drive. But it was all worth it. It’s small and quiet, and barely any other people.

You can watch the sunset from the pier or the beach, but the best spot is the two cabanas. If you don’t like a crowded place when watching the sunset, this is the place to go.

Sail Boat on the water during a sunset in Key West

Key West

Key West is known for its sunsets. There are several points to enjoy the sunset. We only watched it from Mallory Square, it is crowded most of the time, and there’s a chance there are cruise ships in front of you. We were lucky and had no cruise ships and despite the amount of people, we enjoyed the vibe and the sunset overall.

We heard people say that the sunset is better near Fort Zachery, at the beach. We didn’t go there but to compare it with Mallory Square, there is a clear view and you’ll never see a cruise ship lying in front of you.
